SDJF Founders Day Loss Loved Ones Candlelight Vigil and Balloon Release held annually on June 26th. It is free and open to the public. We provide this to the families of victims and homicides.
Women Empowering Women- (WE) Participants explore how family violence shapes personal and social lives while learning techniques for empowerment and healing. The workshops are free and held quarterly.
Teen Safe Dating & Healthy Relationships A youth program focusing on dating abuse awareness and prevention for teens and tweens using the Love is Respect curriculum.
Loss Loved Ones We remember loved ones by sharing their story on our “Wall of Remembrance” in hopes to keep their memory alive while saving lives.
Community Outreach & Awareness We serve populations who may not have the means to attend our in-office sessions or programs. We serve the population in various locations like shelters, churches, schools, businesses and other groups & organizations.
Paint the City Purple Campaign October is National domestic violence awareness month we have created A 2-week program aimed at domestic violence prevention, education and awareness. For this month, we encourage schools, businesses and government offices to join the fight for domestic violence by displaying the color purple in their homes, schools & workplaces and by making a donation to the organization to help spreading the word about domestic violence, in hope to ERADICATE domestic violence . This campaign is annually "beginning on the last Monday of October and ending on the first Saturday of November" when we have our awards gala
